My mom had her first knee replaced this morning. It has been a long time coming. We took her into the doctor this fall and he said they both needed replaced...both of them bone on bone. Poor lady has been in pain for quite a few years, and they have just gotten worse over time.
The surgery went really well this morning. She had the same doctor Conner did when he broke his leg. He is very thorough. The surgery took about 3 1/2 hours, but the doctor said she did really good! She will be in the hospital for a few days and then onto physical therapy. We hope all goes well with this one so she can have the other one done in a few months. Then hopefully she will feel like a new woman and have an easier time walking and doing other activities. I am excited for her to not be in so much daily pain.
