#1. The DUNK TANK-All of the 5th graders get to be dunked by the kids at the school! This is something they look forward to before heading off to junior high! All of the rest of the kids in the school get to line up (class by class) and see if they can dunk one of the 5th graders! Here is Conner before getting up as the "victim"!

Bryce couldn't wait for it to be his turn! He thought it was great watching Conner fall into the water after he threw the ball!
Next year we are getting a new elementary principal-Evan Ricks. He came to our school today and spent the day with the kids on the bike ride and even let the kids dunk him! What an initiation! People have said he will be a great principal!
Our current principal, Mr. Williams, getting dunked! The kids think it is great to dunk their principal! We will miss him! He was a great principal!
#2-The EGG DROP! The last day of school is the Egg Drop. Each kid gets to make some "contraption" with a raw egg in it. Then the principal drops them and sees how many make it without cracking! Here is Conner and Malorie with their final product. Inside Conner's box is popped popcorn and another container. Inside the smaller container is a baggie full of peanut butter and the baggie wrapped around the egg. He then filled the smaller container with newspaper. Malorie's box is only full of crunched up newspaper. We put her egg in a sandwich bag wrapped in newspaper, stuck it in the middle of the box, and put newspaper all around it.
Here is the principal high up dropping each box! Some eggs made it without cracking while you knew other eggs broke as soon as you heard them hit the ground.

YEAH! It didn't break! This year was a success! (Last year she filled her box with oats and when it hit the ground the whole container broke and there were oats EVERYWHERE! Needless to say...her egg didn't make it last year!)

SWEET! Another egg NOT BROKEN!
Bryce was enthralled with the truck they used to drop the eggs! He was fascinated as they brought the boom down!
Last fun thing was the rocket launch. All of the 5th graders get to make a rocket and the whole school watches them launch them. Conner ready for his rocket to GO!
Conner's teacher, Mr. Owens setting up 3 of the rockets(Conner's in the middle)! They were amazing to watch! They shot so high! Some of the kids couldn't find theirs after it launched because they shot so high! It was cool to watch!
5...4....3....2....1....BLASTOFF! The kids pushed a button and their rockets shot high in the air! 
BRING ON SUMMER and the HEAT!!!!

What a fun way to end the school year! Lots of fun activities. Evan Ricks is an awesome guy...he will be an incredible principle. I really have a lot of respect for him. He is great! Well, time to party for the summer! Lets do something!
