Tomorrow at our elementary school, the kids are celebrating Grandparents' Day. The grandparents are invited to come and have cookies and punch with the kids. We love living close to our parents so that our kids can enjoy their grandparents!
We are especially excited that Wayne and Dora (aka Grandpa and Grandma Johnson) have returned from China. They spent a year there teaching English at a university through a program at BYU. They returned home the end of June. Everyone was excited for their return!
The night before they were to arrive the kids wanted to make posters to hold up at the airport. They each made a sign of their own.

The kids and grandkids that lived close to the airport went down to welcome them off of the plane. While Wayne and Dora were in China they bought each of the grandkids a "Chinese outfit". Some of the grandkids wore their "chinese clothes" to the airport.
The kids were very anxious to see Grandpa and Grandma. Every time someone would come down the stairs from the plane the kids would look and look to see if it was their grandparents. Here they are anxiously waiting.
These 3 little boys were like kids on Christmas Day when they saw their grandparents! They were SUPER EXCITED and so proud of their signs they had made!
Oh, what a happy day to have grandparents return!
Grandparents are special people that make kids feel so loved! We are so glad to have them back in the US and home with us!
