Reunion Time Once Again

We have had so much fun spending times with our families at reunions the last couple of weeks! This last weekend was the Johnson Reunion! We spent the weekend in the Salt Lake area so Wayne and Dora could spend time with us (for those that don't know, they are serving a mission on Temple Square). We even found time to throw in a few family photos...we even got one where every person was looking...now that is quite a task with 16 grandchildren (well 15...one was asleep!)

The first day was spent at Cherry Hill...lots of swimming, water slides, and a fun lazy river! They had swimming pools for all ages! We spent the day there until about 7:00 when a nice hail storm flew through! Nothing like watching 100s of people book it out of a swimming pool when you get hail, wind, and lightning! We all stayed at the Crystal Inn and we rented a banquet room for the evenings so we could stay up late and play games...a little family trivia, trains, pinochle, more swimming, and a whole bunch of other games and too much food!

Saturday morning we took a tour to Welfare Square. This is part of Wayne and Dora's mission. It was very interesting to learn some of the service the church provides across the world to people in need. The most amazing fact were the big grain elevators that took the early saints only 8 days to build! AMAZING!

The afternoon was spent at a park eating lunch, playing BINGO...

Skits for each family to participate in...Each family had to bring 10 items in a black bag that started with the same letter. Then each family had to draw to see what bag they would take to make up a skit! There were some pretty clever skits. Here is a glimpse into the skits that were made up (they had to use every item that was in their black bag).

Wayne and Dora, Justin and Natalie-(they had the letter "L")a sneek peek into the lost manuscript of the Book of Mormon which included the Nata"lites", the Justin"ites", and the Dora"ites"!

Mike and Laurie's family had the letter "T"! They did a news broadcast starring the Terrycloth elephant, Transformer Taper, Toothless Toothfairy, and the Tarp Man.

Kirk and Jen had the letter B--they were aliens coming to see what planet E-arth had to offer!

Our family had the letter C. We had a calendar and we gave everyone a glimpse into our family planning for the week...Bryce cooking our meal on Monday

The kids made a poster for Parker because he had won the championship baseball game! The cousins couldn't wait for them to arrive...especially Conner...he hung out with all of his girl cousins until those boys showed up!

Back at the hotel we swam some more...Bryce loved it! He wanted to try out some goggles! He looks like a professional swimmer! Haha!

And played games the rest of the night! Thanks everyone for being willing to participate in our silly games and skits! We love spending time with all of you!
